I have tried everything (that I can think of) to make custom content and mods to work in Sims 4 (from my mac laptop). It used to work and then suddenly it stopped working, for example, cc and script mods are no longer being recognised in the start-up folder anymore. I have tried deleting all my cc/mod (except my resource file) and downloading new ones, upgrading game, uninstalling the game and installing the game, creating a new resource file, making sure the cc/mods box is ticked in options, installing the download correctly e.g. Zip files etc.
The Sims™ 4 Holiday Celebration Pack Terms and Conditions REQUIRES THE SIMS 4 GAME TO PLAY (SOLD SEPARATELY). ACCESS TO CONTENT REQUIRES RESTART OF THE SIMS 4 GAME. I've tried CC Magic, Package Viewer and Postal and I haven't been able to get any of them working. I need a way to uninstall my sims3packs without.
Nothing is working. If anyone has any suggestions or advice I would really appreciate it. Let's try this, in this order:. In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents. Navigate to Contents Mac OS. There should be two files in there. Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash.
Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. Leave the other file, The Sims 4.par alone. Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download. When you've done all that please go into Documents Electronic Arts and drag the Sims 4 folder to the desktop. Now launch your game, make a Sims in CAS, move them into a house, enable CC and mods in the game options then save and quit. Put ONE piece off CC that you know 100% is supported by the current patch into the Mods folder, load your game and see if you can place the CC.
